Recipe : Roti Lapis Daging Berkeju

This time I'm back with a recipe as mentioned above 'Roti Lapis Daging Berkeju' . Seriously I've no idea what's the name of this recipe in English . If directly translated , it is 'Cheesy Beef Sandwich? ' or something similar . Basically , it's the same as lasagna except that instead of using instant lasagna sheets , I used slices of bread .


So, ingredients are as below . As for me , if you feel like adding more beef , go ahead . It's you who determine the amount of ingredients . But this is for referrence . For me , I would minimize the amount of chillies because I don't fancy spicy food .


 12 slices of bread ; I used Gardenia bread
 200ml full cream milk
 3 eggs
 400gm minced beef
 3 cloves of garlic , minced
 1 big onion , chopped
 1 can of tomato paste ; I used Prego's
 1 can of button mushroom , sliced (6-7)
 1 tablespoon of black pepper and oregano
 1 cup of mozarella cheese , cubed (as topping) , but I used sliced cheese cheddar
 A pinch of salt


Let's go step by step :

1. To make the sauce , heat the oil , saute both onion and garlic until it turn golden brownish.
 2. Then , put in minced meat , wait till it cooked a lil bit . Add in the mushroom and tomato paste. 3. Add in pepper , oregano , salt or other seasoning.
 4. The sauce is now ready .
 5.  For the bread , prepare 200ml full cream milk in a bowl . Add in eggs and stir.
 6. Put the bread into the milk and egg mixture before you put it into the baking pan . Don't forget to grease your baking pan with butter so that it will be easy to take out the bread later.
 7.  After a layer of bread , add in the meat sauce that you've prepared . Then repeat with bread and meat again . Lastly , add some cheese on top of the bread .
 8.  Bake it at 220°C for 30 minutes and voila your super delicious cheesy beef sandwich is ready !


Even though it looks ugly , because of the presentation but it taste finger lickin' good
